Are there any version upgrade paths?
Yes. Players who purchased the Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition can choose to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition.

What is included in the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass?
The first 4 additional DLC characters and 1 additional stage are included and will be accessible upon release. The pass also includes an entitlement to a set of battle result poses for the base roster characters (20 characters) and these can be accessed upon purchase of the pass.

How can I access the pre-order content?
For those that pre-ordered, an entitlement will be applied to your platform account and you will be able to download the content from the platform store where you pre-ordered the game.

What content can be accessed online and what content can be accessed offline?
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls features a wide range of offline content, including: Episode Mode, local Versus, Training Mode, All-Star Arena, Battle Guides, Character Guides and more. The mode Arcadia Rumble is also fully playable offline, with optional online features.
Offline modes and content can be accessed without a PlayStation Plus account for the PS5 SKU and can be played without a PlayStation account for the PC SKUs.
A PlayStation Plus account for those playing on PS5 (a PlayStation account for those playing on a PC SKU) and internet connection are required for Online Lobby, Room Matches (Private Rooms), Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Player Profile and other online features.

What accessibility features are available for the title?
In addition to changing the CPU difficulty and button configuration, the title features a text-to-speech feature for all 17 supported languages.
For the PS5 SKU, platform level settings allow you to further change the controller button mapping and Access Controller support.

Can I play against players from other regions?
Yes, you can. After starting the game, you will be given a list of lobbies to choose from, with the “Recommend” option auto-selecting the best lobby based on your location. When in a lobby, you can open the menu and select “Lobby List” to reselect and join any lobby that is not at maximum capacity.

What characters are playable at launch?
The following 20 characters are playable at launch. Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hulk, Storm, Magik, Wolverine, Danger, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker, Ghost Rider, Blade, Deadpool, Loki, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage.

I selected four characters for my team, but when the match begins, I only have access to the first two selected characters. In each match players will start with their first two characters available.
To assemble the rest of your team, you must meet one of the following conditions:
Condition 1: Trigger a break by landing certain attacks or throws, landing select Skill attacks, or executing a successful light route Link Attack on the opponent near the edge of the screen will cause a stage transition or wall splat.
Condition 2: Lose a round.

How do I change the CPU difficulty?
CPU difficulty can be changed either from the Options menu (selectable while on the main menu), when prompted in select modes, or from the player settings menu on the character select screen while selecting the CPU characters for 1P vs CPU.

Is there a Training Mode?
Yes! Pick your team, familiarize yourself with their inputs and mechanics, and lab to discover your own unique combos routes while referencing a variety of display settings for command inputs, frame data, damage and more. Use a variety of training scenario presets, bot settings, or record and replay your own bot to find the optimal routes and strategies for all kinds of situations. Also, feel free to drop the bot and lab with a friend in local 2P training.
To train with friends online, create or join a friend’s Room Match and head to the cabinet that is dedicated for online training. Once both parties interact with the kiosk, they will be able to access an online version of the training mode and can lab there together.

Is there a chat system?
Yes, players will be able to use pre-determined phrases to communicate in the online lobby. You can use emotes, chat stickers and free chat to express yourself while in the lobby. Room matches will be restricted to pre-determined phrases only.

Can I customize my Online Lobby Avatar?
Yes. After you select from the available avatars, select a color and attachments for the left arm, right arm, and back from the list of available parts.

Can I use an arcade stick or leverless controller?
Yes. For PS5, any PlayStation 5 compatible arcade stick or leverless controller can be used. You can customize your button inputs by accessing the button configuration menu from the Character Select Screen, mid-match Pause Menu, or from the Options Menu.
For PC players, please confirm if your peripheral is compatible with your hardware setup.

Will any data from the Closed Betas or Open Beta be carried over to the full game at release?
No data from the previously conducted betas will be carried over to the full game.
